Spot Bed Bugs
The first step is to be able to identify bedbugs. They’re brown in color and measure around 5mm in length. They tend to hide in dark crevices close to where people sleep, such as mattresses, bed frames, or furniture. Signs of an infestation include blood stains on sheets or pillowcases, molted bedbug skins, or small dark spots (fecal matter). If you spot any of these signs, it’s time to call Saxon pest management.
We believe pest control begins
with a deep scientific understanding
Signs of an Infestation
If you think you have bedbugs, look for signs of an infestation, such as Blood Stains on Sheets or Pillowcases. One of the most common signs of bedbugs is bloodstains on your sheets or pillowcases. If you notice small, dark stains on your bedding, it’s a good idea to investigate further to see if they’re bedbug bites.
Molted Bedbug Skins
As bedbugs grow, they shed their skin. So, if you find small brown skins in or around your bed, it’s a pretty good indicator that you have an infestation.Â
Save your property from pests! We deal with
Small Dark Spots
Another sign of bedbugs is small dark spots on your mattress, sheets, or pillows. These spots are actually the bugs’ fecal matter and can be a telltale sign that you have an infestation.
If you spot any of these signs in your home, it’s important to call Saxon pest management right away. They will be able to properly identify and eliminate the infestation.
What are the health risks associated with having bed bugs in my home?
One of the most common health problems associated with bed bugs is skin rashes. These rashes are caused by the bites that bed bugs leave behind. The bites can be itchy and irritating, and in some cases, they can even become infected.
If you have a bed bug infestation in your home, it’s important to see a doctor as soon as possible so that they can diagnose and treat any skin rashes or infections that might have developed.
In addition to skin rashes, bed bugs can also cause allergies. Some people are allergic to the bites of bed bugs, while others are allergic to the insects themselves. Symptoms of an allergy to bed bug bites include itching, swelling, and redness at the site of the bite. Symptoms of an allergy to bed bugs themselves include difficulty breathing, chest tightness, and hives. If you experience any of these symptoms after being around bed bugs, it’s important to see a doctor right away as you may be having a severe allergic reaction.
Psychological Effects:
The physical health effects of bed bugs are well-documented, but less is known about the psychological effects of these pests. However, there is evidence to suggest that bed bugs can cause anxiety, insomnia, and even PTSD in some people. If you think you might be suffering from any of these psychological effects due to a bed bug infestation, it’s important to talk to your doctor or a mental health professional so that they can help you deal with these issues.

There were multiple squirrels getting in and out from a gap between the tiles and guttering every day. They did a good job in disturbing me in the early hours of the morning! Ahmad and team dropped by on the day that I called them - they quickly diagnosed the issue and got going with the remedial work. They turned up when they said they would and communicated with me throughout the three times they visited. I didn’t have to chase them (something that I hate doing as I’m busy with work during the week). These guys are professional and reasonable and I highly recommend them. They were initially very convincing, however they didn't carryout the job we agreed and now I am £130 out of pocket, with the same issue, they have refused to send me my invoice and now i am needing to seek alternative company to finish the job. The difference in communication now compared to the initial quote is shocking and I can't help but feel that me being a woman is partly why I have been mistreated in this way. Avoid Saxon Pest Management. A few days of bird calls and flapping from my kitchen extractor fan made it clear I had birds preparing to use the space as a nest so I quickly called Saxon Pest to quote and start work. I explicitly and consistently explained the scope and expectation of the job to Ahmed, which was to remove debris from my extractor fan, to get fan rotating again (the birds had dropped twigs and leaves down to make a nest, so the blades stopped rotating and was working perfectly fine before then) and to replace the missing vent on the outside wall (to stop the birds being able to access). The Initial quote and communication was great, Ahmed came across very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy, accepting my job request quickly and i was very happy he was so confident to take my job on. The first visit for quote was great, i met Ahmed face to face he seemed to understand all my requirements. Visit two again in person with Ahmed but now outside, he explained he and his team had cleared the debris and installed the vent, so I paid the £130, he left and i went inside happy that my issue had been resolved, so i thought. However upon returning to the kitchen, I could still clearly hear bird(s) flapping about and my extractor still not working, meaning the debris had not been cleared from the extractor. I called Ahmed who didn't take my call and he opted to message on WhatsApp instead, I reiterated my initial expectations and asked him to remove the vent ASAP to avoid the bird being trapped and dying. Vist three Ahmed removed the vent and we agreed work (as i initially requested) would continue when bird(s) had left for three consistent days. Visit four was the strangest. The birds had been absent for five consecutive days so Ahmed agreed to visit on Bank holiday Monday when his work load was lighter - I had a message from Ahmed to say he was on the way and expected him to call when he arrived and was leaving like he usually did (so i could pop out to him working). After some time, I went outside to check on the progress however no one was there. I saw the vent installed with white glue visibly dripping down the yellow bricks, showing a poor workmanship. Again returning to the kitchen, my fan did not rotate. I straight away initiated calls and messages and after 15 mins of broken calls (the line kept dropping off from his side strangely), I learned that Ahmeds 'brother' 'Q' had taken over the phones as Ahmed had to 'shoot off'. Q explained that he himself installed the vent and despite what i expected or what i paid for, if I wanted anything else, Saxon Pest Management would not perform any further work. I tried to reason that this was not the job scope or expectation that was agreed with Ahmed but Q repeated the same thing abruptly and dismissed my efforts. The way i was being spoken to not only made me feel like i had been tricked but also made me feel that if i was a man, would i have been treated or spoken to so disrespectfully? and why had my job been accepted if it could not be fulfilled, this is false advertisement. I ended up paying £130 for a poorly installed vent. I still have the same issue of twiggs, sticks and debris in my extractor and my fan not working. This is not the service that was agreed and not the treatment any customer should expect.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Atiq RehmanMay 23, 2024Competitive pricing, professional and friendly service.
